The 2011 season gave Santos its third Libertadores title, 48 years after its previous continental triumph. On 22 June, Neymar and Danilo scored in the 2–1 final victory over Peñarol at Pacaembu. This striped retro design recalls the alternate kit identity of that era, alongside the better-known white home shirt.

This Santos 2011/12 retro away jersey combines black-and-white stripes with black sleeves and a contrasting notched neckline. Multiple sponsor prints appear across the front, shoulders, sleeves and back. The photos show the number 11 on the striped back as a personalisation example, with an additional close-up of the neckline and chest detailing.
